The Answer To Everything

It's not too often we get serious at tenthree but last year when Rupert Jones approached us to get on board with a project for Charity Streetwise Opera it was an offer we couldn't refuse. Streetwise Opera runs weekly music programmes for homeless people culminating in a large-scale annual show.

That culmination came last week at the BFI with 'The Answer to Everything', which is perhaps uniquely, part opera, part film and part sales-conference in which the film Rupert created was part of an interactive performance featuring 50 Streetwise performers and professional performers. The film received 5* reviews in The Time and The Guardian.

Below is the trailer for the film, which was cut by Quin, Kev and Becs.

Go Compare & Ben Wheatley

Over the weekend you may have seen the latest GoCompare ad in which Gio Compario - the worlds most annoying opera singer - doesn't sing! Instead, the brand's mascot is seen pitching new advertising ideas to his GoCompare colleagues with a somewhat less than enthusiastic reception. This is the first in a series of new ad's from the price comparison website in which Gio takes on a more comic role.

The agency behind the campaign (Dare) have enlisted the expertise of multi-award winning Director Ben Wheatley to direct the spots and we were delighted to have him at tenthree for the duration. Ben is considered by many critics to be one of Britain's most significant directors. After directing comedy series Modern Toss for channel 4, he wrote, produced and directed his first feature film, Down Terrace (2009). He shot the film in 8 days and it went on to win the Jury Prize at the Raindance Film Festival. More recently, he's had huge success with horror feature Kill List (2011) and Sightseers (2012), a dark comedy about a couple on a caravan trip, which have both earned him numerous awards.

Cut by Quin, here's 'Double Dog'. In 2 days it's already got over 250,000 views on YouTube.
