Asda

Quin was a busy boy just before Christmas working on this new Asda campaign with Mike Matthews from Fat Lemon. It was Mike's first UK commercial having directed several Jamie Oliver series including his latest, Comfort Food. Not one to do things by halves he jumped straight in at the deep end with a 5 days shoot featuring food, a cat and a baby.

CLIC Sargent- The Joke Appeal

CLIC Sergeant, the charity that's serious about The Joke Appeal initiative, brings us this light-hearted sketch to show how a little playground banter goes a long way in lifting both the spirits of a young person suffering with cancer and the social stigma associated with the disease. Directed by Misha Manson-Smith and edited by Quin, this short film promotes the refreshingly simple concept that cracking a gag will help a young cancer patient connect with their mates and have a break from the everyday stress that cancer brings. Keep an eye on the blog, the film is soon to follow.

Evans Cycle - The Odd Ones

The latest spot to come from speed-junkie Mark Jenkinson and edited by Quin, features all the odd habits cycling enthusiasts are guilty of. Polishing your bike till it's squeaky clean before a muddy off-road event, cycling from London to Brighton instead of catching the train, even shaving your legs before a race. It's okay, Chris Hoy does it.

Change Tastes Good

The brutality that there are leopards out there whose spots won't change is a truth reiterated in Clippers latest, slightly controversial but brilliant new commercial. Directed by the wonderful James Griffiths and cut by Quin, this light hearted and cheeky advert features couples ditching their old cup of Rosy Lee in favour of Clipper. And yes, you heard correctly, the soft n' sultry tones of the voice over belong to the one and only Emily Williams!

Good Night Guarantee

I think at some stage in our lives we've all wondered what it would be like to wake up with Lenny Henry. Imagine no more because thanks to Premier Inn we can all wake up with Lenny. This was a pretty big production with Lenny catching Zs on a beach in Cornwall, Kings Cross station and the cheeky rascal even crashed a wedding in his jimjams. All beautifully shot by James Griffiths at Moxie and cut by Quin.

Why Do We Run?

Why do we run?...If I could understand Spanish, I might be able to tell you the answer. That's not because all the answers to life are written down in Spanish, but because in this latest spot for Nike by Director Joan Cobos, he gives us a metaphorical insight as to why? Why do we run? At least I think he does but it's in Spanish?.... and like I said, I don't speak Spanish.

Regardless of why we run, this is a beautifully crafted little film, which features David Bustos, the best young spanish athlete of 2012 and former Team Nike runner. Cut by Quin

Go Compare & Ben Wheatley

Over the weekend you may have seen the latest GoCompare ad in which Gio Compario - the worlds most annoying opera singer - doesn't sing! Instead, the brand's mascot is seen pitching new advertising ideas to his GoCompare colleagues with a somewhat less than enthusiastic reception. This is the first in a series of new ad's from the price comparison website in which Gio takes on a more comic role.

The agency behind the campaign (Dare) have enlisted the expertise of multi-award winning Director Ben Wheatley to direct the spots and we were delighted to have him at tenthree for the duration. Ben is considered by many critics to be one of Britain's most significant directors. After directing comedy series Modern Toss for channel 4, he wrote, produced and directed his first feature film, Down Terrace (2009). He shot the film in 8 days and it went on to win the Jury Prize at the Raindance Film Festival. More recently, he's had huge success with horror feature Kill List (2011) and Sightseers (2012), a dark comedy about a couple on a caravan trip, which have both earned him numerous awards.

Cut by Quin, here's 'Double Dog'. In 2 days it's already got over 250,000 views on YouTube.

Post Office - Handled With Care

I think many people, including myself, only relate the Post Office to...well...posting stuff? Naturally. Oh and maybe those bonds that your Grandparents set up for you as a child that accrue an extra £30 over the 20 years it's been sat there. However, I think the Post Office have realised this (probably not the real reason) and come up with a brand new campaign to reposition and modernise itself as a brand that can take care of all the important things in life.

Directed by creative genius and tenthree favourite Walter Campbell, the ad features people travelling, moving house, keeping in touch by mail, phone and online. It's beautifully shot and narrated by an employee of the Post Office, describing how his average day can affect people's lives.

Hotel GB

For one week and one week only Channel 4 have taken over a hotel in South London and filled it with celebrities and unemployed people. Sounds great doesn't it? Theres more to it, stay with me. The aim is to show the unemployed staff that hard work and a great attitude are the best way to get on, which is instilled in them by their celeb mentors, such as Gordon f**kin Ramsey and Mary Portas. All the profits from the hotel go to various employment charities, so it's all for a good cause. Other celebs doing their bit in the hotel include Gok Wan, Dr Christian, Katie Piper, Kim Woodburn and Kirsty & Phil.

This the teaser promo Quin cut for the programme, Directed by Rupert Jones.

Martin Aamund - Budweiser

A few months ago we had Director Martin Aamund in for a double whammy of Budweiser jobs. The first spot was for the sponsorship of the FA Cup and the second was an abstract piece for the lovely nightclub-going folk in Russia. Both jobs had a completely different look and feel and furthermore so did the Director's Cuts. However, after months of anticipation they've finally been finished up and we're excited to share them.

Auto Trader - The One

We were delighted to have the Superglue dream team back at tenthree towers working with Quin on this series of spots for Auto Trader. It was up to Director and tenthree favourite Mark Jenkinson to recreate that glorious feeling of getting a new car and experiencing it for the first time. We all remember the sweet smell of the interior, the feeling as you insert your key into that unfamiliar hole..... and the purr of the engine when you first start her up. Unfortunately when your first car is a smelly 8th hand Renault Clio, like mine, you have to try a little harder to enjoy the moment.

Nevertheless, working through the years, it seems that the magic of this moment hasn't changed much even as the cars (and the fashions) have.

Vote For Quin! Louis Vuitton - Journey Awards

Quin and Director Joan Cobos at Palma Pictures have made the shortlist for the Louis Vuitton Journey Awards with their beautiful short film 'Laura'. Please vote for the film HERE. NOW! If you haven't heard of these awards before, here is some copy and pasted information for your perusal.

The heart of Louis Vuitton has always been about travel, both in its real and emotional sense. It was to convey this that the original Journeys film was made. In 2009, this film was revisited by the director Wong Kar Wai who brought his own inimitable style to the story.

So three years ago Louis Vuitton launched Journeys Awards inspired by their own short film: The first edition focused on the notion of journey, both in its physical and emotional meaning. This year Louis (not King Louis of Jungle Book) launched the 2nd edition with this brief: What is an encounter? How does it affect you? What do you encounter when you travel? These are the questions you will have to answer in a personal video.

...And so I present to you - 'Laura' - Exterior and interior infuences that are the base of creation. The encounter between the artist and the inspiration.

Natwest - Motel Hell

Our own Quin Williams and Marc Evans at Rogue have come together once again in the latest spot for Natwest. Their clever new app means you can come to the rescue when your child has misplaced (spent) all their money whilst traveling (partying) in another country. Thanks to the wonders of the mobile technology you're now able to transfer money straight into her account at the touch of a touch screen!
